Auto Dark Mode uses the Windows API to detect your location. You can go in Windows to Settings > Privacy > Location and check your settings. There you can also set a default location by yourself. |

Hello everyone! I would like to know the criteria for determining where I am geolocated in the "From sunset to sunrise (location service)" option. Because I am actually in Brazil, my timezone in Windows is automatically set to BrasΓlia. But for some reason, the geolocation information from Auto Dark Mode thinks Iβm in Astana, Kazakhstan, which seems very strange to me.
I know it follows the geolocation system of Windows 11, but I havenβt been able to find another way to see anywhere in the operating system that shows the current location it detects, and no other application that uses this service behaves strangely like this.
Iβd like to dig deeper and see if there is some malicious program falsifying my location in some way, which might explain why it shows this location. I tried using my VPN to check if it changes to other countries, but no. According to Auto Dark Mode, I am in Kazakhstanβany ideas?
Thanks in advance.
MatΓas.
