Enable support for Octopus users outside the UK #1119
Comments
Hello and thank you for raising this feature request. Unfortunately it looks like the two APIs are not completely equal which means it would be a lot of effort to update the integration to support both the UK and German APIs and have it turn on/off features based on available data. I also wouldn't be able to test it to a high standard as I don't have a German OE account. So at the moment, I have no plans on supporting anything other than the UK. |
Thanks! It's unfortunate that the API is so different, but I understand that it isn't feasible to support both. Maybe a german Dev will be able to fork this and adapt it for german users...🤞 |
This comment is just here to increase demand :) ... I do understand the issues |
Another demand from a soon to be german OE user |

I'm also getting a Smart Meter from Octopus next month so I would like to be able to use the integration in germany too. |
here also |

+1 here |
Describe the feature
API Token created by a German Octopus user doesn't work in the integration.
If at all possible, please allow Octopus users from other countries to use the integration.
Thanks!
Expected behaviour
API Token and Account Number should allow login to the Integration.
Use Case
Same as in the UK... monitoring the Octopus Tariff.
