In particular after prefix-searching in history, it's easy to get stuck in very old history. Then there is no easy way to get back to the end of history (I usually delete the current line and press enter...).
history_last
, with "Alt-<", fixes that. I think I would want to add the^G
shortcut to "cancel" history navigation and get back to last entry (as a synonym for "Alt-<").
