We should really rename our shared library to just libjulia.so or libjulia.dylib. The -release is an artifact of a time when we used the -debug version almost as much as the -release version and because it was easier to write the makefiles that way. We should probably, however, still leave a symlink from libjulia-release.so to libjulia.so.

Hopefully this issue will get more attention than #3190 did.

Oops. I felt like there was an issue for this but searching for libjulia didn't give any results.
