	    	  Deze verzameling van links is door onze leden gemaakt. De links wijzen naar projecten of groepen die inhoudelijk nauw verwand zijn met de doelstelling van de Vereniging Werkgemeenschap Informatiewetenschap. <li><a href="http://www.acm.org" target="_blank">ACM: Association for Computing Machinery</a> <br/>
De ACM is een internationale wetenschappelijke en educatieve organisatie, met het doel de kunst, kunde en toepassingen van informatietechnologie te bevorderen. Binnen de ACM hebben zich een groot aantal "Special Interest Groups" ontwikkeld die de focus op bepaalde aspecten van de informatietechnologie leggen. Hieronder is een verzameling van de door leden van de WGI gesteunde "Special Interest Groups".

De Europese afdeling van ASIST heeft tot doel de uitwisseling van onderzoek en ervaring op gebied van Bibliotheek- en Informatiewetenschappen tussen Noord Amerika en Europa te steunen. <p/>

<li><a href="http://www.cilip.org.uk/index.html" target="_blank">CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals</a><br/>
CILIP is het resultaat van de vereniging van "the Institute of Information Scientists (IIS)" en "The Library Association (LA)". De missie van CILIP is om informatie en kennis op hoog niveau te verwerken en te delen, en voor iedereen toegankelijk te maken.

<li><a href="http://www.darenet.nl/nl/toon" target="_blank">DAREnet (nl)</a><br/>
Het programma Digital Academic Repositories (DARE) is een initiatief van de gezamenlijke Nederlandse universiteiten om hun onderzoeksresultaten digitaal toegankelijk te maken.<p/>

<li><a href="http://www.dgd.de/frame.html" target="_blank">DGI: Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Informationswissenschaft und Informationspraxis e.V.</a><br/>
Dit is het Duitse equivalent van de WGI. Zij bieden onderzoekers een communicatieplatform en bevorderen de combinatie van praktijk en onderzoek. Evenals de WGI organiseren zij bijeenkomsten en archiveren publicaties.<p/>

<li><a href="http://www.delos.info/" target="_blank">DELOS Network of Excellence on Digital Libraries</a><br/>
DELOS stands for fundamental research on the development and use of DL services. It takes into consideration both the specialist and the general public, and aims to consolidate the emerging DL community throughout Europe.
