When we have not selected "condition" we should, per row, see the number of unique values for each row that "condition" holds. This kind of happens, but it appears to not quite work for Experiments.
Relatedly, if no scope is selected, we should work at the paper level (I think right now we do the experiment level)
For visual clarity, perhaps summary columns could be backed in grey (e.g., the same grey as the background on the toggle area?

@amirrr — this is working except that experiments still show up as rows even when not selected. They should be collapsed so that no parents selected means just one row per paper.
