  1. Clear all caches
  2. Login
  3. Observe fallback avatar in roster pane
  4. Open profile editor
  5. Observe actual avatar there
  6. Observe actual avatar in chats
  7. Hard page reload
  8. Login
  9. Observe real avatar maybe

I'm using Firefox. I have seen this with Converse.js for some time, including in the latest version. Using full screen mode.
