Smithery is a platform to help developers find and ship language model extensions. All our listed extensions follow the Model Context Protocols (MCP) specification. Our mission is to make language models extensions accessible and accelerate the development of agentic AI.
Smithery addresses this challenge by providing:
A centralized hub for discovering and publishing MCP servers
Standardized interfaces for tool integration and configs
Community-driven protocol sharing and collaboration
It seems like this could be a convenient way for the user to add MCP servers to LibreChat with minimal configuration.
I have no affiliation or experience with Smithery, but in my research looking for MCP servers, I keep seeing the project come up.
I imagine there could either be a UI inside of LibreChat giving users a way to 1-click install MCP servers from Smithery, or that instance administrators could do this inside of librechat.yaml.
