Just a question out of curiosity is there a particular reason to perform the build of the API documentation on the OSX runner?
The OSX runner happens to be the most expensive runner available on GH actions and the workflow doesn't seem to need any OSX specific features to run FORD on the source of stdlib.

There was an issue when using the Linux images due to using some of the python markdown extensions. It may now be resolved, we can look into it at some point.
