I remember the current one we use isnt any longer supported and uses old export styles so it might be worth checking out

@zewa666 Since I rewrote and created excel-builder-vanilla (over a year ago when I wanted to go all native and less CJS), I don't have any more need for another library anymore, especially now that it is now much more lightweight compare to before (it only has fflate as dependency instead of 3 deps before) and on next major, I'll make it ESM only (removing CJS should decrease d/l size a bit more). Also looking at bundlephobia, that other lib is 5x times bigger download compare to mine, 105Kb vs 23Kb gzip.

Do you have any problems with my rewritten lib? I'm not sure what you mean by old export styles (it supports both xls and xlsx)

I also checked the default export type and it is xlsx

not using xls exports right now but also no issues I'm currently aware off. I just stumbled over this lib and thought I'd share with you

ah ok, all good, I forgot to mention that I did see that lib a while ago when I was investigating if I should either rewrite excel-builder by dropping old deps like Q and Lodash, which I did, or switch to another one. From my past investigation, most libs are actually not ESM ready at all and that is true for even the most popular one ExcelJS which CJS only (which is weird considering it's the most downloaded one)... anyway I'm satisfied with my lightweight lib. Thanks for sharing :)

I even added a live demo website with a dozen examples to demo my rewritten lib, you should check if out if you haven't already 😉
