App based on Basic Activity template that shows Settings in the options menu which takes the user to the Settings Activity.
This app provides an options menu with Settings. The user taps Settings to view or change a single setting: a toggle switch. After changing the setting, the main screen shows a toast message with the value of the setting.
You need to know:
- How to open, build, and run apps with Android Studio.
- Handling a button click.
- Displaying a toast message.
- Setting up an options menu and toolbar.
- Handling an options menu item click.
- Providing Up button navigation.
- Download the code.
- Open the code in Android Studio.
- Run the app.
