Problem

When multiple multimedia sources are active, such as music playing in Alcove and a video started on another app like YouTube, both continue playing simultaneously. This creates an overlapping audio experience that can be confusing and disruptive, as users typically expect only one media source to play at a time.

Expected behavior

When a new multimedia playback is initiated (e.g., starting a YouTube video), Alcove should automatically pause its current media playback (e.g., music). Once the external media (YouTube video) is paused or stopped, Alcove should optionally resume its playback, configurable via a user setting. This ensures a seamless and focused media experience, preventing overlapping audio and aligning with common app behavior where only one media source plays at a time.
