Run button not working

Run button doesn't do anything when I press it, however if I type "python filename.py" in the terminal, it runs normally. I've tried reinstalling vs studio completely and it didn't resolve the issue. I'm trying to configure vs code with my anaconda environment.

@snate28 I recommend creating an issue. Also look at Output > Python:

It should contain details on what is going on. Without this there is no way to tell why something is not running.

There's nothing in the output, it seems like just nothing is happening when I press the run button.

@snate28 You are not looking at Python output. See where it says "Tasks" click that dropdown and select "Python"

@snate28 Can you share the output from "Python Locator" ? I highly recommend creating an issue using the issue reportr, Gor to Help > Report Issue, and select Vs Code Extension followed by Python Extension, then create an issue from there. It will include lot more detail on what is going on.

If you do end up creating an issue please include the logs from "Python Locator", and from Help > Toggle Developer tools go to console and get all there errors in the logs as well.
