Inevitably, io.js packages will be created on popular platform-specific package managers. Should the website attempt to catalog these? For example, the mongodb download page does this https://www.mongodb.org/downloads#packages . The (much more verbose) Postgres site also lists package distribution options, broken out by platform, e.g. http://www.postgresql.org/download/macosx/

Good suggestion, perhaps as the options evolve enough to warrant a full page. We can keep an open issue to track the options and eventually "upgrade" the notes here to be an Article.

To me this is in the same spirit (but serves a slightly different purpose) as #64 -- I could imagine them being grouped in the same section or even being discussed on the same page, although broken up in terms of purpose.

+1 to the same page, but yeah, we definitely don't have enough package managers' support to warrant it yet.

On Windows, there's a thing called Chocolatey NuGet (I can't make these things up): choco install io.js https://chocolatey.org/packages/io.js

On OS X: brew install iojs

Still worth considering for guides, leaving open after ~2 months.

This is an issue that can be handled by the Docs WG. I've marked it as invalid and docs to ensure its responsibility is handed to the Docs WG. If you want to discuss this issue, see nodejs/docs#10.
