What is the impact of a person being removed as an owner of a Github Org?

We have a situation where we have too many owners for our orgs in Github (GHES). We are cleaning this mess up and in the process will be paring down owners for each of the orgs.

What is the impact of removing a member as an owner for an org as in what kind of loss of privilege will that member incur with regards to the Org and the repo's under it?
